Do a Little Dance, Make a Little Garden…

I get asked a lot what I do for exercise and it makes me chuckle out loud because I hate exercise, I mean just the thought of the word makes my body recoil. I'm happy for those who embrace the Gym life and get an endorphin hit from a HIIT workout but not this chicklet!
Now you might be asking yourself "Why the picture of dirty fingernails?" Well I'll tell you why! My garden life.. and who knew that trafficking around my silly plants and dirt adds up to mileage on my Fitbit?!? So hence the fingernails and hence the title of this post!

If you're anything like me and the nerve under your eye starts to flicker in panic at the thought of a fitness centre or membership-class, I get it, boy do I ever! ... Just find something YOU do like. Do you enjoy music? Put some LOUD dance tunes on and jig around, do you like gardening? Plant some rows and get diggin', What about carpentry? Start sawing and hammering! Movement is movement and it makes us feel good, all these little movements add up to big results, trust me. I could barely climb a flight of stairs and it took me one step, two paces and gripping the banister with dear life. Now I run up and down, hands free 10x each morning to get my heart rate up. It doesn't feel like torture because it's not - it's like second nature to me now, it was not put upon me as a test or a task, but rather a result of my progression which all started with a dance to my favourite song and digging in the dirt. Find your passion and be happy - we like to move it - MOVE IT!
